What is Shockwave Therapy?

Shockwave Therapy is non-invasive, highly-effective and relatively pain-free solution to treat pain in the feet, legs, shoulders and back.

It promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons and other soft tissues by increasing the blood flow within the affected area, stimulating cell regeneration and healing, and decreasing local factors which can cause pain.

What does treatment involve?

Treatment is performed directly on the skin, but is non-invasive. The time allotted for a specific treatment will depend on the area and depth of the tissue being treated. This will normally fall within 2-4 minutes per area treated and often used conjunction with other treatment or exercises from your practitioner.

In most cases between 4-6 sessions are required in a course of therapy.
Many patients also report relief after their first session.
